Celebration of Life Service for Sheryl Hooker
Sherry K. Hooker, (aka Sheryl Frank, Sheryl Brooks) of Brown City, passed away November 24, 2024 from complications of leukemia.
She was born to Linda and Lynn Frank in Yale Michigan. She graduated from Brown City H.S. and continued on to MSU and earned a degree as a Veterinarian Technician. She married the love of her life, Donald Hooker in 2007.
After working in the veterinarian field for 27 years, she went on to serve her community as Director of the House of Hope for 10 years. She also served in the children and youth ministries at Country Christian Church, North Branch, where she had been a member for many years.
This precious soul touched so many lives and is survived by her husband Donald, mother Linda, sister Judy Burgess and “big brother” Roger Burgess, nephew Bobby Burgess, mother-in-law Dot Hooker, sister-in-law Deb Kilburn, nieces; Danyel (Brian) Bullock, Lyndsay (Brock) Dean, Marlie Sue Kilburn and Jayde Kilburn, nephews; Kyle Loren, Geordyn Loren and Bryce Kilburn, grandnieces and grandnephews; Kealsey, Brooke, Hunter, Olive, Briar, and Scarlett, step-mother Terry Survance, step-sister Tami Barr and many special cousins. There were so many, many special people to her, which are far too many to name here.
She was preceded in death by her father Lynn Frank and her father-in-law Doyne Hooker.
She was and is Blessed by the Lord who Loves her dearly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Brown City Missionary Church, 8935 E. Burnside Road Brown City, MI 48416 on January 11,2025 with a visitation starting at 12 noon and Celebration of Life Service starting at 1pm. Luncheon and Fellowship to follow.
